BTX®, one of the leaders in motorized drapery systems, offers a line of DC, AC and Solar-Powered drapery tracks. Tumo® automated drapery system is a 24V DC based system that uses a BTX® designer 5050 track and features Whisper Low™ sound control and is more economical. The Sofia system uses the 5060 architectural track (that is slightly bigger than the 5050) and is capable of traversing up to 200 lb.of fabric with a single motor. The Classic, an old reliable system that can handle up to 280 lb.with tandem motors. DrapeMover is a cord pull kit that can be used to automate an existing cord pull curtain track.
The AC-powered systems feature high precision, Silent-Stop rotary adjustment knobs to set end stops.
While the DC-powered system are available with direct drive or cord pull to manually override the motor operation.
All motors allow for instant motor removal for easier field servicing if required

BTX® is offering a line of automated drapery system available in 2 main profiles: BTX® Architectural 5060 track and BTX® Designer 5050. The designer track has a slimer profile. Both tracks can accomodate Pinch Pleat, RippleFold®, AccordiaFold® and Graber Rollpleat® style carriers. The maximum size that they would come without splicing is 23' but tracks can be custom cut to fit connection to align with window mullions.
BTX® 5050 track is used with the new BTX® Tumo line. With pulling capabilities slightly lower than the Sofia® or Classic® drapery systems, the tracks come with direct drive or cord pull to allow to override motor operation manually. Buttmaster and RippleFold®/AccordiaFold® overlaps are available. Track can be custom curved
(see available curve types above) and powder-coated to custom color.A single track can have any of the following stack options: one-way, split-draw or multi-stack. Limits are set electronically.
BTX® 5060 track is used with the Sofia® and Classic® systems. Both systems being AC powerd are alowing for heavier curtains to be used. A unique synchronous motor design allows these system to have 2 motors installed to increase maximum motor capacity by operating in tandem. Although manual override is not available BTX® 5060 tracks can be curved to a radius of 14" (355mm) and powder-coated to custom color.
Brackets are required at a standard 20" spacing and 10" at the stacks. |

BTX® Tumo Xcel and BTX® Tumo Heavy Duty are 24V DC systems that draw power via a plug-in DC/Volt converter with 5 ft. wire running from to the motor and 5 ft. wire running to the outlet. BTX® Tumo also offers an eco-friendlier version with plug-and-play solar panel that is connected to the motor on one side and to a low voltage switch via a standard RJ-11 telphone style plug.(or can be controled via hand-held remote) IR, RF and dry contact are built into BTX® Tumo motors eliminateing the need to install additional parts.
BTX® Sofia and Classic® drapery systems are offering a heavier duty AC motor. They come in 30W, 45W and 60W motor size (60W is not available for Classic®) Control is done via add-on IR RF or dry contact modules.
BTX® Sofia and BTX® Classic® offer a new plug-and-play MMC (Modular Motor Control) that has a built in RF reciever that accepts low-voltage switching signals for RF remote, switch no network control.
BTX® also offers a new SmartTouch™ device with RF technology that slides over the master carier to work directly with MMC device and allows to operate the curtain with a slight touch at the edge of the fabric.

BTX® offers a veriety of options to control Tumo® Sofia® and the Classic® drapery systems. Wired switching control is done via Standard Rocker switch, Mini-Rocker and Decorative Rocker Switch. Controlling Sofia® and Classic® systems requires an add on UCM 1-4 Channel Infrared receiver, an IR Eye and an IR Handsender (available in 1,2,3,4,6,12,24,60 Channel options) An IR keypad is also available in 1,2,4,6,12 and 24 Button configuration. Tumo® has a built in RF reciever and only requires a handsender to operate and can be connected to a low voltage switch via RJ11 connector. Sofia® and Classic® systems require an additional RF Receiver to be
installed for the system to operate with a handsender. Automatic ACP/ST sun sensor and programmable digital ACP/IT timer are also avaialble for controls.

Integrating Sofia® or Classic® automated drapery track systems to a 3rd party home automation system is done via wired dry contact closures and LVI group controls. Integration can be done with RS-485, RS-232, X-10 based systems via special modules. |
